Emoji ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Emoji was created by Shigetaka Kurita in Japan, 1999.
Originally meaning pictograph, the word emoji comes from Japanese e (絵, “picture”) + moji (文字, “character”).
Emoji has a big journey until now. People like it because it is one of the ways of communication. Today, people prefer to texting instead of calling or face2face communication. I think Emoji makes it convenient and universal.
